Live Like Ralph: What We do
Creating Opportunities for Young People in Skateboarding, Music & The Arts
Live Like Ralph exists to give young people opportunities they might not otherwise have. Whether it’s helping a kid get their first skateboard, funding creative projects, or supporting grassroots organisations that align with our mission—we’re here to make a difference.
We focus on three core areas:
SKATE: Making Skateboarding Accessible to All
We provide skateboards, shoes, and protective gear to kids who want to learn but may not have the means.
We help build and maintain skateparks, making them more accessible for communities that lack facilities.
We fund beginner-friendly skate spaces, like Ralph’s House, to encourage more young people to take up skateboarding.
Ralph’s House: A Safe Space to Skate
We’re proud to have funded Ralph’s House a purpose-built indoor skate park at House of Wingz in Blackpool. Designed for beginners who want to build confidence, speed, and overall skate skills, the space includes:
✔️ A flat indoor area with 1ft-4ft flat banks for learning and progression.
✔️ Free-to-use skate equipment for those who don’t have their own gear.
✔️ A music-filled, cosy seated area to create a welcoming skate community.
✔️ A stationary rope to help learners practice tricks before hitting the ramps.
At Ralph’s House, it’s about community. If you’ve ever seen a group of skaters clapping their boards, you’ll know it means respect, encouragement, and celebrating every small win.
This space is about creating those moments for beginners and experienced skaters alike. and we are very proud of the project and space!
CREATE: Supporting Young Artists & Musicians
We fund instruments, art supplies, and creative projects to help young people develop their artistic talents.
We provide grants to grassroots creative organisations and Community Interest Companies (CICs) that support young people in music, fashion, and the arts.
If you’re a creative, musician, or part of a community organisation working to make arts and culture more accessible to young people, we want to support you.
Apply for a Creative Grant
We accept applications from creatives across the country to help children get involved in music, fashion, sport, and the arts. If you need funding to run a project that aligns with our mission, fill out our application form here .
RELATE: Creating Inclusive Spaces & Community
We believe in safe, welcoming spaces where young people can express themselves through creativity and sport.
We fund community-led events, workshops, and mentoring programmes that help young people build confidence and find their passion.
We replace stolen bikes for families who can’t afford to buy new ones, because no kid should miss out on the freedom of riding.
